Unique Safaris specializes in custom designed family safaris. We welcome children of all ages and have warmly hosted children as young as 3 years old. What makes a family safari different from other itineraries? It is imperative to plan based on the specific interests, ages and behaviors of your children. Some children as young as 5 or 6 are already avid wildlife enthusiasts. But other children find it hard to spend so much time in a vehicle looking for interesting sights. Some families want to have their children meet and interact with local children and learn first-hand about life in Tanzania. Our sales team spends time getting to know you, your children and the experiences you are hoping to expose your family to. We then suggest an itinerary that will allow your children to enjoy each day and yet have the down-time they might need to rejuvenate and absorb the experiences that Tanzania has to offer. We pride ourselves on being able to learn about your family's interests and then suggesting unique activities for your safari.

Unique Safaris is one of the very few companies that have special clearance to meet you before you enter Immigration, to provide a private security officer who will process your visa for you while you proceed to baggage claim. Many of our clients enjoy this service, but it is especially appreciated by families with young children, so that they do not have to wait a longer period of time to be processed at the international airport after such long flights to Tanzania.

Our company is dedicated to education and our driver guides delight in teaching children about wildlife, conservation, Tanzanian history and explaining local lifestyles.
