We offer scheduled and custom safaris. Scheduled trips are often convenient for small parties that would like to join with others for a safari. Custom planned safaris are best for those with larger parties, those with very specific dates or those that would just like to be alone for their safari.
Here are several of our next preplanned trips. We operate the following two trips ourselves, and the trips on the right are sponsored by outstanding photographers, naturalists, and environmental groups.

These two safaris are operated by Unique Safaris for their guests exclusively. The camping in the Tarangari is in a Deluxe Camp, staffed by trained Unique Safari employees. The drivers all have naturalist training and many years of safari experience and they will do everything they can to make this a memorable safari for every guest.
Top quality lodges are used in Arusha, in the Serengeti, and at the Ngorongoro Crater,
Day 1 Arrive Kilimanjaro Kigongoni Lodge, dinner: Arrive in the evening on KLM. Meet and greet by Unique Safaris and transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, full board: After an early breakfast, fly Regional Air to the Serengeti, departing at 8:45 and arriving at 9:50. You will be met by your private driver guides and game drive to your lodge. Afternoon game drive. At this time of the year, the majority of the large wildebeast and zebra herds have moved out of the Serengeti. But this area of the national park remains excellent for viewing cats of all kinds, who are following the pockets of resident herds that do not migrate north.
Day 3 Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, full board: Game drives.
Day 4 Crater Serena Safari Lodge, full board: Take a leisurely drive out of the Serengeti, stopping along the way at the Serengeti Lion Project to meet the researchers and learn the history and current issues facing lions in the Serengeti and Crater. Continue your drive to Ngorongoro Crater, stopping along the way at Oldupai Gorge, the sight of Louis and Mary Leakey's famous archeological discoveries. Picnic lunch at Oldupai. Once again, continue to the Crater, arriving in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Crater Serena Safari Lodge, full board: Full day in the Crater with a picnic lunch.
Day 6 Crater Serena Safari Lodge, full board: Full day in the Crater with a special bush lunch
Day 7 Karatu Kifaru Lodge, full board: Drive from the Crater, directly to visit the Hadzapi and WaToga tribes at Lake Eyasi. Tanzania is unique among African nations in its racial, tribal and religious tolerance. More than 130 distinct tribes live in Tanzania, peacefully. Your visit to these two tribes will spark much discussion about cultural tolerance. Late afternoon arrival at Kifaru, an active coffee, flower and cattle plantation, for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 Tarangire Unique private luxury mobile camp, full board: Drive to Tarangire, Tanzania's 4th largest national park and considered its most scenic with huge baobab trees and acacia dotted hills. This is a short drive, allowing you to game drive to your private luxury mobile camp for lunch and afternoon game drive. The luxury mobile camp is our specialty and will provide you with an intimate encounter with the wildlife of the park. Tents are large (9 feet by 24 feet) heavy duty canvas with bathroom ensuite. A separate dining tent is provided for gourmet meals and a campfire each night.
Day 9 Tarangire Luxury mobile camp, full board: Game drives. This is a wonderful time of the year to be camping in Tarangire, which hosts the second largest migration of animals in the world. Herd animals from the Great Rift Valley migrate into the park for water found in the Tarangire River. Wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, elephants and antelopes all come into the park, with predators of all kinds following their prey. More than 6,000 resident and migratory elephants can be found in the park this time of the year. Tarangire also has the one known remaining pack of wild dogs in northern Tanzania. While sighting the wild dog is still extremely rare, they are located in the park at this time of the year.
Day 10 Tarangire Luxury mobile camp, full board: Game drives
Day 11 Arusha, full board: Drive out of Tarangire and to Arusha. Arrive in time for shopping and lunch at the Impala Hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free to pack, relax or explore Arusha town. Dinner and transfer to Kilimanjaro for return flight to the US on KLM
