The Serengeti is usually the highlight of your safari trip, although each park in Tanzania has it's own unique features that you can enjoy.

The Serengeti is like the open range of the west, where you can see for miles and there is one game encounter after another. Just after you absorb a herd of 1,000+ zebras, you come upon a pride of lions feeding, and then you approach a kopi (rock outcropping) and there are multiple things going on all at the same time--between the birds, cats, reptiles and more.

PLANNING YOUR SAFARI
Here in northern Tanzania you head west on your safari if you are visiting several of our best parks, such as the Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti.
The first park you might visit is the Tarangire with it's good water supply assuring you of many game sitings year around, then we move on to the Ngorongor Crater for a day or two.

Next, you head west passing the Oldavi Gorge, where they found Lucy, and head out into the Serengeti. Again depending on your time and interests, we can give you the ultimate Safari experience in one of our Deluxe Tent Camps, or you can opt for more creature comforts and stay in one of the beautiful Game Lodges (or do a combination of both).

Each game drive has new happenings and gives you a total sense of awe, as the plains of the Serengeti remain much the same as they have been for centuries. The events of nature make things happen--the changing seasons, the long rains, the short rains, migrations, water supply, and annual birthing.

You may elect to ride in our safari vehicles for your entire trip, or you may opt for an air flight back from the Serengeti to Arusha at the end of your trip. Your choice here may be influenced by how much time you have on your safari.
