Patty and I researched trip details and Safari offerings from over 20 companies when we planned our first trip to Africa 4 years ago.

We selected Unique Safaris because they are owned and operated by experienced Tanzanian residents, they helped us custom plan our trip to include even more than we asked for, and they had a great representative to work with here in the U.S.

Our trip with Unique Safaris was our first venture to Africa and due to the expertise of everyone involved was so much more than we could have dreamed possible.  Every detail was covered and from the time we landed at Kilimanjaro Airport until we departed two weeks later we were always with someone from Unique.  We have been to numerous far places and have never been treated better or more professionally than with Unique, and by our driver/guide Semu Nkini.  He was quiet, bright, polite and knowledgeable beyond belief.  We were interested in everything, from the largest to the smallest creatures, plants and animals alike.  Sammy as we called him, knew every name, common and Latin, and had incredible patience with our many questions.  In actuality, there seemed nothing he didn't know and we were totally comfortable in every way in his presence.  The extremely well maintained Land Cruiser was spotless each morning and the game drives were awesome.  We were very impressed with the land and animals, but most of all the people from Unique who made this an experience of a lifetime.  The Mobile Tent Camp was the absolute best, thanks to Joseph and his staff!  We will be back!
